TinyGo 0.42 Expands MCU Support

The recent update to TinyGo, version 0.42, marks a significant advancement in the Go compiler for microcontrollers by adding support for 87 different variants of the Puya PY32 family. This update not only enhances the functionality of TinyGo but also aims to simplify the development process for small IoT devices.

Among the new features are startup code, device-register definitions, linker scripts, and support for GPIO and UART functionalities. Additionally, the update includes definitions for two affordable EmbedFire development boards, making it easier for developers to prototype and build IoT applications.

This initiative, led by Pavel Burgr, emphasizes the commitment to creating a robust firmware platform tailored for IoT applications, particularly focusing on ease of use and accessibility for developers.
