Introducing the Realtek RTL8773J: A Microcontroller Pioneering Bluetooth 7 Technology

Realtek RTL8773J Microcontroller Overview

Realtek has launched the RTL8773J, marking a significant advancement in microcontroller technology as it becomes the first family to support Bluetooth 7. This innovative device is built on a dual-core architecture, comprising a Cortex-M55 application core operating at 200 MHz and a Cortex-M33 core dedicated to sensor and network tasks. The RTL8773J is engineered to handle high-fidelity audio processing, equipped with digital signal processors (DSPs) and an accelerator that enhances features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Talk Clear, and Keyword Spotting.

Among its impressive specifications, the RTL8773J includes up to 2MB of SRAM, 8MB of PSRAM, and 16MB of on-chip flash memory. It supports Bluetooth versions 6.2 and 7, along with proprietary 2.4 GHz communication. A standout feature of the upcoming Bluetooth 7 is the High Data Throughput (HDT), promising data rates of up to 7.5 Mbps. Realtek has also introduced a customized version, Realtek HDT+, which claims to achieve data rates of up to 15 Mbps, setting a new benchmark for wireless communication.
