Introducing Q8botOne: A Compact Open-Source Quadruped Robot

ZeroWire Robotics has unveiled the Q8botOne, an innovative quadruped robot that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. This open-source device is powered by an ESP32-C3 microcontroller and features ROBOTIS DYNAMIXEL smart actuators, allowing it to perform a variety of movements such as jogging and jumping.
Designed with a unique wire-free architecture, the Q8botOne integrates all its components onto a central printed circuit board, which also serves as its structural chassis. Weighing in at just 250 grams, it can carry loads up to double its weight. The robot is equipped with a dedicated step-down converter for motor power and a battery management system that supports two 14500 Li-ion cells, ensuring efficient operation.
For user control, the kit includes a separate ESP32-C3 controller PCB along with an Adafruit Mini I2C Gamepad, enhancing the interactive experience for users. With its compact size and advanced features, the Q8botOne is set to be a significant addition to the world of robotics.
