Introducing OpenMote: A Versatile ESP32-S3 Universal Remote

Hat & Hammer has introduced the OpenMote, a cutting-edge universal remote powered by the ESP32-S3 chip, designed in the iconic shape of a Nintendo Wiimote. This device is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth LE, an infrared transceiver, and a 6-axis IMU, enabling users to control smart home devices and media centers seamlessly. Additionally, it can function as a Bluetooth gamepad, all without the need for cloud services.

The OpenMote is available in two configurations: a fully assembled "Ready To Go" version and a "Mod Your Own" bare PCB that can fit into an existing Wiimote shell. Beyond its standard remote functionalities, it also features a built-in microphone and speaker, along with a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for easy hardware expansion.
