Educational Air-Quality Trend Station with MQ-135 and DHT11

This station combines an MQ-135 and DHT11 to show sensor trends alongside temperature and humidity. The module alone does not produce an official AQI or an accurate CO₂ concentration.

Conditioning and warm-up

Follow the initial sensor conditioning guidance, then allow heater stabilization on each power-up. Initial burn-in is not the same as the shorter warm-up during routine use.

Reading and interpretation

Log the raw output or Rs/R0 against an established baseline and include temperature and humidity for context. Do not map generic ADC thresholds to “good,” “moderate,” or “hazardous” air without a defined calibration and reference.

Project limits

Use the station to compare relative changes at one location. Regulatory or selective measurements require calibrated instruments and a sensor designed for the target gas.

Engineering review: verify the library version, module operating voltage, and the actual board pinout before wiring; visually similar breakout boards can differ.
