Arm Unveils AI-Native CSS for Mobile 2 Platform

Introduction of the CSS for Mobile 2 Platform

Arm has officially introduced its latest CSS for Mobile 2 platform, which serves as a robust foundation for AI-native computing. This new platform includes the Arm C2-Ultra and C2-Pro CPU cores, enhanced with Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) technology, and is complemented by the Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU, which is equipped with dedicated neural accelerators. These advancements allow for the seamless execution of neural graphics directly on the GPU, enhancing performance in AI-driven applications.

Specifications of Arm C2-Ultra and C2-Pro CPUs

The Arm C2-Ultra and C2-Pro CPUs are built on the Armv9 architecture, incorporating several key extensions such as SME2, SVE2, and cryptographic capabilities. The CPUs support a microarchitecture pipeline that is out-of-order and superscalar, allowing for improved processing efficiency. With options for up to 14 CPUs in a cluster and various cache configurations, these processors are designed to handle demanding computational tasks effectively.
