Nordic Semiconductor Unveils nRF93M1 Development Kit for IoT Applications

Nordic Semiconductor has introduced the nRF93M1 Development Kit (DK), a cutting-edge solution aimed at enhancing LTE Cat 1 bis IoT applications. This kit integrates the nRF93M1-LABA smart modem, which offers both Wi-Fi and cellular location capabilities, alongside a Nordic nRF54L15 host microcontroller. Initially unveiled at the Embedded World 2026 event, the nRF93M1 module is now available for markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, with global sampling expected in the third quarter of 2026.

The nRF93M1 DK is equipped with a host MCU that features Arm Cortex-M33 cores operating at 128MHz and a RISC-V coprocessor for software-defined peripherals. It boasts 256KB of SRAM and 1.5MB of non-volatile memory, with wireless capabilities supporting Bluetooth 6.0. The development kit is designed to facilitate the development of innovative IoT solutions, providing developers with the tools needed to explore its extensive features.
