Microduck: A New Frontier in Robotics

Pollen Robotics, in collaboration with Hugging Face, has introduced the Microduck, a 25 cm tall bipedal robot that promises to enhance physical AI experimentation and provide an element of fun. This innovative robot is equipped with 15 motors, a camera, a depth sensor, two motion sensors, and an articulated beak capable of picking up objects, making it a versatile platform for various applications.

While the Microduck shares some similarities with the previously launched Reachy Mini desktop robot, it is designed with a focus on motion and action. The Reachy Mini is tailored for human-robot interaction, whereas the Microduck combines mobility with audio interaction features, including a microphone and speaker. With its advanced specifications, including a Rockchip RK3566 SoC and a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor, the Microduck is set to be a significant player in the field of robotics.
