The FSR402 is a force-sensitive resistor whose resistance changes with load. It does not directly measure pressure unless contact area is known, and its response is nonlinear with hysteresis and drift.
Wiring
Use it in a voltage divider and choose the fixed resistor for the useful range. Respect the bending and force limits in the datasheet, and use a flat force spreader for repeatable contact.
Calibration
Record zero and several known loads using the same mechanical mounting. Build a project-specific curve rather than treating the reading as an accurate transferable weight value.
Use
FSRs suit touch detection, approximate force bands, and interaction controls. Use a properly mounted load cell and HX711 for an accurate scale.
Engineering review: verify the library version, module operating voltage, and the actual board pinout before wiring; visually similar breakout boards can differ.
