Introducing the Lantronix Open-M 720G and 520G: Compact Powerhouses for Edge IoT Applications

Lantronix has unveiled its latest offerings, the Open-M 720G and 520G, which are remarkably compact system-on-modules (SoMs) measuring just 43x44mm. These modules are powered by the advanced 6nm MediaTek Genio 720 and Genio 520 system-on-chips (SoCs), delivering impressive AI performance of up to 10 TOPS, making them ideal for Edge IoT applications that require efficient processing of low-power Vision AI and Generative AI tasks.
The Open-M 720G features a dual-camera setup and is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, while the Open-M 520G comes with a single-camera configuration and 4GB of LPDDR5. Both models support 128GB of UFS storage and offer a variety of connectivity options including Gigabit Ethernet, optional WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, they support dual displays, audio inputs and outputs, and multiple USB interfaces, making them versatile solutions for modern IoT applications.
