Alif Semiconductor Launches New Development Kits for IoT and Edge AI

Alif Semiconductor has unveiled its latest development boards, the Balletto B1 and Ensemble E1C StartKits, aimed at enhancing IoT and Edge AI projects. These kits are powered by the advanced Cortex-M55 and Ethos-U55 microcontrollers, providing developers with robust tools for building innovative applications.

The Balletto B1 model stands out with its inclusion of BLE 5.3 and 802.15.4 wireless connectivity, while the Ensemble E1C focuses on a more straightforward design without built-in wireless features. Both kits are equipped with a 160MHz Cortex-M55 CPU, an Ethos-U55 Neural Processing Unit (NPU), and ample memory resources, including 2MB of SRAM and 1.8/1.9MB of non-volatile memory.

Additionally, these StartKits come with essential components for multimedia and sensor projects, such as an Arducam camera header, a mikroBUS Click Board expansion socket, and dual PDM microphones. The Balletto B1 further supports wireless communication with a complete RF path to a chip antenna, while both kits are designed with an on-board Segger J-Link debugger to facilitate development and testing.
